Music therapy induces relaxation; decreases need for pain medication; increases energy level; and encourages a positive mood. Our massage and music therapists are all certified practitioners who are happy to assist patients with their healing and recovery.
Before your stay
We believe that patients and families benefit when they know what to expect and have time to prepare. That is why we offer a free class to patients before surgery which includes a special video with exercises and helpful information about what to expect when you return home.
Our Joint Care Team
During your stay at the hospital our orthopedic nurses, physical therapists, dieticians and physicians work together to make sure your recovery goes smoothly. Our program includes group exercise and activities--like a putting contest-- that our patients enjoy because it helps them feel connected to others who have gone through the same experience.
Taking care of you
We know that the simple things often make a big difference when you are recovering from a surgery. We have a hair dresser who will fix your hair if you wish and we offer you and a loved one or friend a special gourmet dinner before you go home.
