Selection of Students
Selection of Students
Selection of students will be based on the application, transcripts, entrance exam, interview and observation, and physical examination.
Selection of students is made without regard to age, sex, race, creed, religion, physical limitations or national origin.
Selection of Interview Candidates
All applications are reviewed for the minimum criteria of math and science. When the minimum math and science requirements are met and transcripts and recommendations received, the applicant is required to pass an entrance examination consisting of math word problems, logic, spelling, word association and reading comprehension. An interview will be granted to applicants meeting the above standards.
Any applicant wishing to be considered must be willing to schedule a personal interview with the director of the program at the candidate's expense. Telephone interviews are not acceptable. If you are selected, you will be notified by mail to schedule an interview and floor observation (if applicable). Floor observation is required for the radiography program.
Scheduling of interviews and information regarding the interview process will be outlined in the letter sent to candidates successfully completing the admissions requirements.
Selection Process and Tuition Deposit Information
Final selection of candidates is made by an admissions committee comprised of the program director and two clinical instructors for the radiography program. A letter of acceptance or denial is sent within one month of the interview in most cases. On occasion, a second interview may be required.
Those candidates who are selected must submit a $500 nonrefundable deposit in order to secure their position in the program for which they are applying. The deposit must be received within 30 days of acceptance in order to be guaranteed a spot for the upcoming class. If a deposit is not received within this period of time, the student will be considered on a first come, first served basis and may not necessarily be guaranteed a place in the immediate upcoming class. Acceptance into any of the programs is for a maximum of two years. After this period of time, candidates must resubmit an application.
